Get the full right-click menu back in Windows 11

The shorter Windows 11 right-click menu looks tidy, but the commands you actually want are often one click deeper.

The quick way

Hold Shift while you right-click a file. The full classic menu opens straight away. You can also select the file and press Shift + F10.

The permanent way

Open Terminal and run the command below, then restart Explorer or sign out and in again.

reg add "HKCU\Software\Classes\CLSID\{86ca1aa0-34aa-4e8b-a509-50c905bae2a2}\InprocServer32" /f /ve

Trap: registry edits can be reset by major Windows updates. If the short menu returns, run the command again. To undo it, delete the {86ca1aa0-…} key.
